They try to catch a glimpse.
But they both don’t dare to come in close.
For fear of being a jinx.

Every morning he pays extra mind,
To the colour of his tie.
She’s putting on make-up she thinks he likes.
As a couple more days go by.

Love like a flower, from an early seed,

They both feed it water and sunshine,
To make sure the flower shows.

Then one morning he’s fully convinced,
Determined and resolute.
Today he’ll ask her number and name,
And say she’s very cute.

She’s figured it out, her mind’s made up.

To say that his caramel skin,
Goes great with that blue tie.
